The Florida College System Foundation was established in 1994 and has been providing student scholarships to Florida's 28 colleges since 1999. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the official direct support organization for the Florida College System. The mission of the Florida College System Foundation is created in Florida Statute 1004.71. The Foundation is organized and operated exclusively to receive, hold, invest and administer property and to make expenditures to, or for the benefit of, the Florida College System institutions in the state of Florida.
The Florida College System Foundation will award over $900,000 in scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic year. Students who are enrolled in one of Florida's 28 colleges can apply for these scholarships at their local college. Find your college here!

- $2 million: Bank of America “Dream Makers” Scholars are awarded to first-generation students to cover tuition, books, fees and childcare.
- $5 million: Florida Blue Scholarship supports students enrolled in nursing and allied health.
- $9 million: Helios Education Foundation Scholarship awarded to first-generation students who are preparing to become teachers in Florida.
