The Florida College System (FCS) recognizes student organizations for outstanding efforts to increase civic engagement through campus‐wide student involvement, education and awareness initiatives.

In order to recognize these civic engagement initiatives within the FCS, the Division of Florida Colleges created the Chancellor's Student Service Chapter Award. Phi Theta Kappa chapters are encouraged to submit a short video highlighting civic engagement in their community. The winning chapter receives an award and a $500 check. The chapter recognized as a runner-up also receives an award and a $250 check.
